Three-time Wimbledon champion John McEnroe has advised Rafael Nadal to sack his long-term coach, uncle Toni and 'get a new damn coach' to get back to top form.
Nadal was knocked out of Wimbledon after his second round exit at the hands of German qualifier Dustin Brown in the Championships.
The 14-time Grand Slam champion continued his struggles with form as he was given an early exit for the fourth time in a row by the 102-ranked player.
McEnroe told BBC Radio Five, "Rafael Nadal is one of the great champions - a class act. He plays with a lot of effort and energy but, dare we say, is it time for some fresh blood in the Nadal camp? Can we say that? Uncle Toni's going to be upset.”
He added that may be the time has come where Nadal needed some fresh blood in his camp.
Nadal, who lifted the title on Centre Court in 2008 and 2010, has not been able to make a progress past the fourth round after losing to World No 1 Novak Djokovic in the 2011 final.
