Young shooting sensation Mampi Das pulled off a big upset as she beat experienced Anjali Bhagwat to win the gold medal in the 10m air rifle event of the ongoing SEED Gun for Glory Shooting Championship in Pune on Saturday.

A day after bettering his own record, Samresh Jung recreated his magic as he bagged the top prize in the men's 10m air pistol. Imran Hasan Khan won the gold medal in the men's 10m air rifle event.

Das maintained her lead all the way to the last shot as she convincingly won the gold medal at the Shiv-Chattrapati Shooting Range in Balewadi.

Triple Olympian and winner of 13 gold medals at the Commonwealth Championships, Bhagwat had to settle for silver after a stunning finish.

The 16-year-old Das and Bhagwat hogged the limelight on the opening day, but the youngster held her nerves in the final with a scintillating performance.

Double gold medallist in the 2010 Commonwealth Games, Tejaswini Sawant finished in third place.

Another youngster who made an impact was 14-year-old Malaika Goel, who had won the bronze medal in the International Shooting competition in Germany in July. In the finals, Goel clinched the gold in the women's 10m air pistol event.

The championship is being organised by London Olympics bronze medallist Gagan Narang and held under the aegis of 'Gagan Narang Sports Promotion Foundation' and Gun for Glory Shooting Academy.
