New Sports magazine launched

All Sports Magazine', which was launched by Indian cricket icon Kapil Dev in Mumbai recently, promises to provide innovative coverage and analysis of both international and Indian sport.

The magazine will cater to all sports with equal attention like football, golf, Formula One, basketball, hockey etc., and not concentrate exclusively on cricket. The magazine will be the ultimate resource for Indian sports readers, providing them all information and statistics on their favourite sports.

The monthly sports magazine is being promoted by Amit Goenka of the Essel group which has interests in Zee TV and Ten Sports and is priced at Rs 50. It will be distributed nationally by India Book Distributors and available at newsstands across the country and at all railway stations.

Some of the leading Indian and international writers have contributed to the inaugural edition including R Mohan, Trevor Chesterfield, S K Sham, Mohandas Menon (cricket), Stephen Constantine, the former Indian national coach (Euro football), Harish Samtani (Formula 1), Joy Chakravarty (golf - exclusive interview with Tiger Woods). Many more interesting writers will be featured in the upcoming issues.

"We aim to go beyond cricket and provide comprehensive coverage of other major sports like football, hockey, athletics, golf etc, The magazine was conceived in order to provide innovative and quality sports content and satisfy the need for extra information by Indian sports fans" Sunand Bhojani, publisher of SE Publishing, the firm that is bringing out the magazine said.
