Team spokesman Bjorn Folin says Alshammar is still feeling pain in her neck and will decide on her plans for the 50 following a medical test on Tuesday.

The 50 free heats and semi-final are scheduled for Friday, with the final Saturday.

The 34-year-old Alshammar is a two-time Olympic silver medalist and was considered one of the top contenders in both the 50 and 100.

She already missed the 4x100 freestyle relay, in which Sweden was disqualified from the final when Gabriella Fagundez dove in too soon for the anchor leg.
