Liverpool have completed the signing of England midfielder Jordan Henderson from Sunderland, the Premier League club said on Thursday.
No fee or details of his contract were disclosed but Liverpool said on their website (www.liverpoolfc.tv) that the 20-year-old had passed a medical and agreed personal terms.
Henderson, capped once by England in their 2-1 friendly defeat by France last November, became the first major signing by Liverpool manager Kenny Dalglish since the end of last season.
Newspaper reports said Liverpool were paying around 20 million pounds ($32.85 million) for Henderson who has joined up with the England under-21 squad ahead of the European Championships in Denmark.
