Arsenal midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain faces up to two months on the sidelines with a knee injury that also rules the England international out of the European Championships, his club manager Arsene Wenger said on Friday.

Oxlade-Chamberlain, who was expected to return to the first team for Sunday's Premier League game against Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, has not featured since he damaged the knee in a Champions League tie against Barcelona on February 23.

"There is no chance of the Euros for him. He will be back at the beginning of July," Wenger said.

England face Russia, Slovakia and Wales in Group B of the 24-team tournament in France that starts on June 10.
