Karan Rastogi wins doubles title

India's Karan Rastogi and partner Yi Chu-Huan (Chinese Taipei) won the doubles title in the Grade I 40th Astrid Bowl Charleroi Belgian International Junior Championships, at the Royal Astrid Tennis Club, Loverval, Belgium.

Seeded No. 2 in the doubles main draw, Rastogi and Yi beat Indian pair Tushar Liberhan and Divij Sharan 6-3, 6-3 in the final.

Earlier, Rastogi squandered the advantage of winning the opening set and a 5-1 lead in the second, to go down to unseeded Canadian Erik Chvojka 6-2, 6-7 (1), 3-6 in an exciting second round match.

The May 24 to 29 clay tournament is the last warm up competition before Rastogi begins his campaign in the French Open.

Rastogi's route to the Doubles final:
1st round: BYE
2nd round: Beat Scoville Jenkins/Michael Samara (USA) 6-7 (1), 6-4, 6-3
Quarter-finals: Walk over Lachlan Ferguson/Joel Kerley (Australia)
Semi-finals: bt Viktor Troicki (Serbia & Montenegro)/Mehdi Ziadi (Morocco) 6-1, 6-1
