Naveen Kumar marched into the finals at the second AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships after a comprehensive victory, while Sandeep Kumar had to settle for a bronze after losing in the semi-finals, in Astana, Kazakhstan, on Friday.
Naveen, a gold medallist in the President Heydar Aliyev Cup in Azerbaijan, outclassed Russia's National Junior Championships silver medallist Dzabrail Vizirkhanov 13-5 in a flyweight (50kg) semi-final.
He will take on Pat McCormack of England on Saturday.
Sandeep's campaign ended when he lost 4-10 to Aliyor Noraliev of Uzbekistan in the featherweight (54kg) semi-finals.
