Indian pugilists Lalitha Prasad Polipalli (48kg), Manish Kaushik (52kg) and Sandeep Kumar (57kg) continued their winning run, reaching the quarter-finals in the second AIBA Junior World Boxing Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan, on Monday.
Prasad started the proceedings for India, beating beat England's European Junior Championships silver medallist Luke McCormack 15-10 in the light-flyweight category.
He will now take on Erik Petrosyan of Armenia in Wednesday's quarter-finals.
In the light-bantamweight division, Manish pulverized Sultan Zhanyshev of Kyrgyzstan, winning 23-8 in a one-sided contest.
Kaushik, a bronze medallist in the President Heydar Aliyev Cup in Baku, Azebijan earlier this year, will lock horns with Sang-Myeong Ham of South Korea.
In the feather-weight category, Sandeep had to dig deep into his reserves to upstage local lad Yerbolat Yermekov.
A gold medallist at Kazakh Junior National Championships, Sandeep had to summon all his strength to get the better of the Kazakh after the scores were tied at 9-all after three rounds.
Ultimately it was the Indian who triumphed on an individual judge's score. He now takes on Dominican Republic's biggest hope for a medal at the championships, Huscar Ramirez, in the quarter-finals.
