Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan was the centre of attraction as stars descended at the wedding ceremony of Olympian wrestlers Geeta Phogat and fellow wrestler Pawan Kumar, on Sunday.
The wedding was held in the family’s ancestral village of Ballali, a hamlet in Haryana.
Aamir essays the role of Geeta’s father Mahavir Phogat in the soon-to-be released film 'Dangal', a biopic on the Phogat family.
The veteran actor is extremely close to the Phogat family and has got attached to Geeta and Babita a lot in the last two years after he started shooting for the movie.
Geeta's wedding was a very emotional moment for Aamir and he wanted to be with the star wrestler on her big day to shower his blessings on her.
Aamir looked rather attractive and dapper in his traditional attire, a white sherwani with a black jacket. The red pagdi added to his sauve style.
He was accompanied by the other cast of the film, including Nitesh Tiwari, Sakshi Tanwar, and Sanya Malhotra.
Aamir Khan had bought several thaals of gifts which were presented to Geeta and her family.
After meeting the Phogat family and all the relatives, which comprises of approximately 200 members, Aamir relished on the authentic ghar ka khaana with everybody.
Giving his diet a miss, he savored every the delicious Makai ki Roti, Sarso ka Saag along with Makhan (butter). He rounded up the lunch with the mouth-watering Gajar Ka Halwa.
Olympic bronze medallist Sakshi Malik was also present at her best friend's marriage.
“Congratulations Geeta Di and Pawan ji on your wedding. Lots of love and happiness to both of you!” Sakshi posted on her Twitter handle.
