Seeded Indians Karan Rastogi and Divij Sharan moved into the second round of the US $15,000 Oil India ITF Futures men's tennis tournament in contrasting fashion in Delhi on Tuesday.
Third-seeded Rastogi survived a scare before getting the better of lower-ranked Huai-En Chang of Chienese Taipei 2-6, 6-3, 6-2 in a first round encounter while the fourth-seeded Sharan posted a 6-3, 6-4 victory over compatriot Stephen Amritraj.
In the second round, Rastogi will meet Vijay Kannan while Sharan takes on Vishal Uppal.
Russian qualifier Ervand Gasparyan upset seventh seed Artemon Apostu-Efremov of Romania to steal the limelight. Gasparyan won 6-2, 6-1.
