AC Milan secured a first Serie A trophy in seven years.

Milan, who have had to watch city rivals Inter celebrate the scudetto for the last five seasons, clinched the championship on Saturday with two games to spare.

AC Milan sealed their first scudetto in seven years with a 0-0 draw at AS Roma, making second-placed Inter Milan's 3-1 win over Fiorentina academic.

Napoli, in third, surprisingly lost 2-1 at struggling Lecce and Antonio Di Natale scored twice as Udinese beat rivals Lazio 2-1 to take the initiative in the fourth and final Champions League qualifying spot.

Brescia joined Bari in being relegated after a 2-1 home defeat by Catania.

Former European Cup finalists Sampdoria, fourth in Serie A last term, slipped to third-bottom and are in serious danger of relegation after a 2-1 defeat by Genoa in the city derby.
