Atletico de Kolkata produced a gritty performance as they scored twice in the second half to notch up a 2-1 win over hosts NorthEast United in an entertaining Hero Indian Super League match at Indira Gandhi Athletic Stadium in Guwahati on Friday.
NEUFC drew first blood, scoring in the 40th minute through Emiliano Alfaro but Atletico de Kolkata's Postiga found the equalisier in the 63rd minute. Belencoso then struck the winner in the 81st minute.
The win took Atletico de Kolkata to the top with 12 points at the end of their first-leg matches while NorthEast United are now in third with 10 points, after losing their last two matches at home.
