India’s P V Sindhu rallied splendidly after losing the first game to beat South Korea's Sim Yujin and enter the semi-finals of the Indonesia Open on Friday.
The two-time Olympic medallist needed 66 minutes for a 14-21, 21-19, 21-14 victory.
The 22-year-old Korean was quick off the blocks and won the first game in 17 minutes before Sindhu displayed the stuff that got her to the world No. 1 ranking, winning the second game narrowly.
The third game was close till 11-11. The South Korean then lapsed in concentration and was unable to hold her nerve as Sindhu scored repeatedly to clinch victory at 21-14.
Sindhu will take on either Japan's Asuka Takahashi or Thailand’s Ratchanok Intanon in the semi-finals.
