India's winless run on its Portugal tour continued as they played out a goalless draw with Casa Pia AC in their fifth practice match at Casa Pia ground in Lisbon.

Sunil Chhetri's return boosted the national side but even the Kansas City Wizards striker failed to break the jinx.

India started off with Subrata Pal in the goal, while Surkumar Singh, Gouramangi Singh, Anwar and Rahim Nabi were the four first choice defenders.

Anthony Pereira took charge of the right flank, with Renedy Singh and N P Pradeep in the midfield and Clifford Miranda on the left flank.

India began the match on the cautious note, the midfield combining well with the strikers, but failed produce any goal.

The best chance of the first half fell to the Indians, as a Casa Pia defender made a goal line save off Pradeep's header from Renedy Singh's flag kick.

After the breather, N S Manju was brought in for Anthony Pereira. Rahim Nabi was pushed to right flank, with Manju playing as left wing back.

After dictating terms in the first half, Bob Houghton boys were given a tough time by their opponents but even their spirited performance was not enough to break the deadlock.

India next take on Real Massam SC at the Massam ground.
