Odafe Okolie scored five goals as Churchill Brothers drubbed AIFF XI 6-0 in a seventh round I-League match at the Nehru stadium in Margao, Goa, on Monday.

Odafe wrecked havoc in the rival defence, scoring in the 26th, 37th, 72nd, 82nd, 86th minute.

The Goa team led 2-0 at half-time.

Zakeer Mundampara scored the other goal, in the 78th minute.

Odafe and Kayne Vincent combined well as Churchill Brothers dominated proceedings from the start. The scoreline could have been even more embarrassing for AIFF XI had it not been for Jagroop Singh's work under the bar. The goalkeeper pulled off nearly half a dozen saves.

A move between Vincent and Odafe resulted in the first goal for the local outfit and there was no looking back after that.

Trevor Bulpin's boys found Odafe too hot to handle as they conceded another goal in the 37th minute. Churchill continued to attack the rival citadel after the change of ends.

Odafe, after being denied by the rival goalkeeper on a couple of occasions, scored his hat-trick goal in the 72nd minute.

Six minutes later, the Nigerian passed the ball to Mundampara, who found the net from close.

Odafe then went on to score two more goals -- through a free-kick and a penalty.

After this victory, Churchill moved to third place with 13 points from seven matches, while AIFF XI remain on seven points from as many outings.

Air India-Pune FC in goalless draw

Kolhapur: Hosts Air India's search for their first win of the season continued as their round seven I-League match against Pune FC ended in a goalless draw at the Shahu Maharaj ground.

Pune FC's Lamine Tamba was named the man of the match.

Air India are lying at the bottom of the points table having scored just seven points from four games, while the visitors have amassed eight points from the same number of games.
