India’s report card on the sixth day of the 2016 Olympics:

Badminton
Women's doubles (league round): Jwala Gutta and Ashwini Ponappa lost to Japan's Ayaka Takahashi and Misaki Matsumoto 15-21, 10-21.
Men's doubles (league round): B S Reddy and Manu Attri lost Indonesia's Indonesian pairing of Mohammad Ahsan and Hendra Setiawan in a Group D match 18-21, 13-21.
Women's singles (league round): P V Sindhu beat Hungary's Laura Sarosi 21-8 21-9; Saina Nehwal defeated Brazil's Lohaynny Vicente 21-17, 21-17.
Men's singles : India's Kidambi Srikkanth beat Mexico's Lino Munoz 21-11, 21-17
 
Golf
Men's individual round 1: Anirban Lahiri and SSP Chawrasia had a topsy-turvy start to their Rio campaign as they carded a three-over 74 and even-par 71 respectively in the opening round of golf.
 
Archery
Women's Individual Round of 16: Bombayla Devi Laishram lost to Mexico's Alejandra Valencia 2-6 ; Deepika Kumari lost to Tan Ya-Ting of Chinese Taipei 2-6.
 
Hockey
Men: India lost to The Netherlands 1-2.

Women: India lost to USA 0-3
 
Boxing
Men's bantamweight (56 kg) Round of 32: Shiva Thapa lost to Cuba's Robeisy Ramirez 0-3.
 
Tennis

Mixed doubles Round 1: Sania Mirza-Rohan Bopanna beat Sam Stosur-John Peers 7-5 6-4 to reach quarterfinal.
