Mercurial forward Dhanraj Pillay, who was rested for the inaugural Afro-Asian Games, has been named in the 30-member probables list for the Azlan Shah Cup hockey tournament, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, from January 8 to 18.
The probables, who will attend the camp in Delhi and Bangalore before the final selection, also include veteran striker Baljit Singh Dhillon and midfielder Baljit Singh Saini, who were also rested along with Pillay for the Hyderabad Games.
Among the 30 players selected are five goalkeepers, four full backs, 10 mid-fielders and 11 forwards.
The Delhi camp will be held from December 5 to 12.
Rajinder Singh and Baldev Singh have been retained as chief coach and coach respectively while Sampath Kumar will be the physical trainer.
A B Subbaiah will continue as the goalkeeping coach, the IHF said in a statement.
