Sources close to Swiss tennis player Martina Hingis's camp have rubbished claims by her ex-husband that the 5-time Grand Slam champion and her mother once assaulted him.

Martina HingisAccording to TennisWorldUSA.org, the Hingis camp said that the claims were utterly ridiculous and the player, as always, had chosen to take the high road and not speak anymore about it.

This is not the first time that Hingis's personal life is making headlines as a few months ago, her ex-husband claimed that the Swiss Miss was a serial adulterer and that he had caught her cheating, the report said.

The story continues a bad spell for the player, whose doubles comeback is also not going well. She has decided not to play any more tournaments this year and will decide about her plans for the 2014 season soon.

Hingis was inducted into the tennis Hall of Fame in July this year.
