India's Somdev Devvarman sailed into the second round of the men's singles event at the French Open with a 6-3 6-3 7-5 win over Daniel Munoz-De La Nava of Spain at the Roland Garros in Paris.
It took Somdev a little more than two-and-a-half hours to get the better of his Spaniish opponent. Somdev now faces World No 3 Roger Federer in the second round.
Federer had defeated Spanish qualifier Pablo Carreno-Busta 6-2, 6-2, 6-3 in his opening round.
