Mohammedan Sporting beat Tollygunge Agragami 3-0 in the 19th All Airlines Gold Cup football tournament in Haldia, West Bengal, on Thursday.
After a barren first session, Mohammedan Sporting mounted pressure on the rival's citadel and opened their account in the 21st minute. Nigerian striker John Uchenne Ugon's powerful shot from about 25 yards outside the penalty box bulged the net.
The second goal was scored at 27th minute by captain Dipendu Biswas from a pass by Abdul Rouf Khan.
Agragami's fate was sealed at the 34th minute when Rahim Nabi scored, capitalising on a free-kick by Ugon.
Agragami's captain Awokmi Akum sustained leg injury in the seventh minute of first half when he fell in a drain outside the playing arena while trying to collect a pass from a team mate.
Akum was later shifted to a Kolkata hospital for treatment.
