'Moving the Goalpost', a series of short films that focus on the role which soccer plays in the lives of Britain's football fans, would be held at the British Council auditorium in Mumbai on November 29-30 at 1400-1600 IST.

Fifteen films would be screened on the occasion. 'Moving the Goalpost' forms part of the 'Magic Pencil', an exhibition showcasing the bet of children's literature illustrations.

The films to be screened include, 'The Sunny Side of the Street', 'The Worst of Jewish Football', 'Team in the World', 'When the Reds Come', 'Marching In', 'Balls', 'See you at Wembley, Frankie Walsh,' according to British Council sources.

'Eight', 'Awayday', 'The Heart of Football', 'The Do-It-Yourself Football club' and 'This Boy's Story', would also be among the films to be screened.

The films capture the way football continues to the people's game right from the small boys and girls, who emulate their heroes in parks and back gardens, to the grizzled veterans who can 'remember the days when his team expected to beat the world', the sources said.

The films which are a varied and entertaining collection of football stories, largely concentrates on the fans, their rivalries and loyalties, their family tensions and the darker side represented by the football hooligan.

Many of the films also highlight the influence the game has on younger fans that dream of 'Cup Final' glory or of meeting their idol in person.

The two films 'See You at Wembley, Frankie Walsh' and 'This Boy's Story' are graduate films from the UK's National Film and Television School and won the Oscar for the Best Student Film.
