Former French footballer Tony Vairelles has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
French cops arrested him following a nightclub shooting in the city of Nancy on Sunday.
Police say Vairelles was part of a mob that attacked bouncers after they were turfed out of the club at 3 am (local time), The Sun reports.
They then returned to attack the bouncers with baseball bats before one of the group opened fire, injuring three.
Five men were arrested on Sunday morning, with one later being released.
Vairelles, who starred with Lens, Lyon and local side AS Nancy, was remanded in custody and is due to appear in court on Tuesday.
