Chinese club Shanghai Shenhua has offered Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard a 250,000 pound per week deal after tax offer to join his former teammate Didier Drogba at the club.
Shanghai Shenhua's Chinese Super League rivals Beijing Guoan are also reportedly interested in signing the England international, the Sun reports. Both Chinese clubs are ready to offer that mega-bucks one million pounds a month jackpot to Lampard.
Lampard can talk to any club in the world in January, as he will be a free agent next summer when his Blues contract finishes. Lampard appears on his way out at Stamford Bridge after 11 years, as Chelsea have a policy of offering players over 30 only a one-year extension to their current deal. Lamps could bank around 36 million pounds from a three-year stint in China with Drogba and Co, but, already financially secure for life, the midfielder has always told pals he is more interested in a challenge than money.
Tevez contemplating new deal with Man City
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez, who has 18 months left in his current contract, has revealed he is considering signing a two-year extension with the club. Man City manager Roberto Mancini indicated last week he would like his former captain to stay at the club.
Tevez said he is happy at the club as they are treating him well, adding that he is thinking over signing a new two-year extension with the club. Tevez said he is happy with the fact that he doesn't start regularly with Man City since he is fine with contributing to the team in any possible way.
If Tevez does sign it would represent an amazing turnaround for the ex-Manchester United hero who seemed certain to be on his way out last season, the Sun reports. The arrival of fellow Argentinean Sergio Aguero has helped him settle again, and Tevez said he always has good time with his on field strike partner.
Remy set for QPR move after undergoing medical
Queens Park Rangers seemed certain to beat Premier League rivals Newcastle United to the signing of France striker Loic Remy on Tuesday with QPR manager Harry Redknapp saying the 26-year-old had completed a medical at Loftus Road.
Olympique Marseille said on Sunday they had agreed a deal to sell Remy to Newcastle but QPR, bottom of the Premier League, are now close to completing the signing of the player who has been capped 17 times by his country.
Media reports quoted Redknapp after his side's 1-0 FA Cup third round replay win at West Bromwich Albion saying Remy had been at the club earlier for a medical.
QPR are also hopeful of signing Rennes midfielder Yann M'Vila as Redknapp strengthens the London club's squad in a bid to escape relegation.
"Loic Remy has had a medical and I think that's all sorted now," Redknapp told BBC radio.
Celtic agree deal for young Australian playmaker Rogic
Australian playmaker Tomas Rogic will discuss personal terms with Scottish club Celtic after the former European champions agreed a deal with the Central Coast Mariners for the 20-year-old's transfer.
A short statement on the Mariners website said that Rogic would travel to Glasgow to finalise the deal after training with the Scottish champions in Spain on their mid-season break.
The Mariners did not reveal any details of the fee for Rogic, who has enjoyed a meteoric rise after only 12 months playing in the A-League.
Rogic has scored five goals in 24 matches for the Mariners and was rewarded for his fine form with a first cap for the Socceroos against South Korea in a November friendly.
However, he attracted headlines for the wrong reasons last month after being handed a three-match ban for a reckless tackle on Sydney midfielder Rhyan Grant.
