India and New Zealand will face off in a Davis Cup tie in September at the Chandigarh Lawn Tennis Association (CLTA) stadium.

Addressing the media this evening, along with Indian tennis ace Leander Paes, CLTA chairman Rajan Kashyap revealed the news quoting All India Tennis Association (AITA) secretary general Anil Khanna.

"Mr Khanna has announced that the Davis Cup match to be played between India and New Zealand teams will be played at Chandigarh," Kashyap said.

Earlier, Paes featured in an exhibition doubles match partnering Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda and CLTA trainees Ranjit Singh and Anuj Bhatti.

Congress MP and cine actor, Raj Babbar was also present to watch the match, which was won by Leander and the Chief Minister.
