Argentina's hopes of making the quarter-finals of Copa America suffered a huge setback when they were held to a goalless draw by Colombia, on Wednesday.
Sergio Batista's side, which was held 1-1 by Bolivia in the first match, must now win its final group match against Costa Rica on Monday to make it to the next stage.
Colombia occupy the top rung in the group with four points, having beaten Costa Rica, who meet Bolivia on Thursday, in their opening match.
Argentina, with an embarrassment of riches in an attack spearheaded by Lionel Messi and Carlos, Tevez were outplayed in the first half, with Colombia strikers Radamel Falcao and Davro Moreno making threatening runs into the box.
The hosts could have finished with an embarrassing defeat had Moreno not missed a sitter in the 25th minute following a mix-up in the Argentine defence.
The second half went much the same way with Colombia making inroads but failing to dent the net.
