Rahi Sarnobat edged Thailand's Naphaswan Yangpaiboon in a double shoot-off to clinch gold in 25m Pistol Women final at the Asian Games in Palembang on Wednesday.
The final went into shoot-off after Rahi and Thailand ‘s Naphaswan Yangpaiboon were tied on 34 points.
Both Rahi and Yangpaiboon shot four out of five shots in the first shoot-off, and then in the second shoot-off the Indian prevailed over her opponent by missing one less.
This is Rahi's first gold medal at the Asian Games and her second overall at the Games.
In doing so, she became the first Indian woman shooter to achieve the feat.
