The India Under-16 team bounced back from a 1-2 defeat to Everton to hold Manchester United colts 3-3 in London on Tuesday night.

Malswamfela opened the scoring for India in the fifth minute but the hosts pumped in two goals soon after before Malswamfela added his second of the night in the 53rd minute.

The Indian juniors were not overawed by the situation despite facing one of the best youth sides in the world.

Manchester United colts went ahead a second time after converting a penalty but India were not to be outdone.

Narayana Menon's wards braved heavy underfoot conditions due to overnight rain and drew parity following some sustained pressure.

Lalrindika found the equaliser in the 70th minute from a goalmouth melee.

The India under-16 team, which has qualified for the AFC under-16 Championship in Uzbekistan, is on a nine-day trip to England for a preparatory camp.

Speaking to aiff.com coach Menon expressed satisfaction with his boys' performance and felt playing in European conditions against tough opponents has helped the team gain a lot of experience ahead of the AFC Championship.
