Caitlyn Jenner will now be legally allowed to keep her Olympic medals that she had won as Bruce Jenner before her sex change operation.

Bruce JennerThe International Olympic Committee (IOC) announced that they had no issue with the former athlete's gender transformation and since she had received the accolade after competing in decathlon as a man in 1976 Olympic Games, it was all hers, the Independent reported.

Notably, over 10,000 people had signed the petition calling for the IOC to revoke the 65-year-old former Olympian's medal, but Mark Adams, IOC Communications Director, confirmed that Jenner's victory that made world record flouted the competition's gender rules and should be void.

Former Olympic athlete and reality TV star Bruce Jenner, who is transitioning to life as a woman, revealed her new name as Caitlyn Jenner on Monday and posed in a white strapless leotard on the cover of Vanity Fair magazine.
