Novak Djokovic took the honours at the Laureus Sports Awards last week but it was a Jharkhand-based NGO that put India in the spotlight at the 'Oscars of Sports'.
The week rounded off with PV Sindhu flying the Light Combat Aircraft -- Tejas at the Aero India show, to mark Women's Day.
"I am very happy about being the first woman to fly the Tejas. This day is dedicated for women. Hence I will remember this day forever," Sindhu told reporters afer the 40 minute sortie."
