"I don't want to go into details," Barcelona president Joan Laporta told reporters when questioned about the club's interest in Ronaldinho. "But we have made a firm and serious offer that reflects what a great club like Barcelona is capable of doing."
Brazilian international Ronaldinho has also been targeted by Manchester United, but last week Paris St Germain rejected a reported offer of 20 million euros ($22.70 million) by the English champions.
"I know that Manchester United today made an offer of 35 million euros ($39.73 million) for the Brazilian," Barcelona vice-president
But Rosell went on to say that if there was only a small difference between the offers from the two clubs he believed the player would prefer to sign for Barcelona.
Barcelona also confirmed on Wednesday that they were trying to put the finishing touches to a deal to sign Portuguese winger Quaresma.
The 19-year-old arrived at the Nou Camp with his agents in an attempt to agree a four-year deal with the Catalan club.
"He's a strong young player and is a good option for the future," Barca coach Frank Rijkaard told the club's website.
