Top seed Sajjad ousted from Asian Snooker

In a major upset, Pakistan's top seed Mohammad Sajjad was ousted from the Asian Snooker Championship, even as India's Pankaj Advani, I H Manudev, Kamal Chawla and Aditya Mehta secured places in the last 16, in Indore on Wednesday.

Sajjad lost to UAE's Mohammad-Al-Joaker 3-4 (74-25, 71-39, 31-77, 1-78, 55-52, 8-75, 113-16) at the Yeshwant Club.

Those who secured places in the last 16 are:

Group A: Mohammad-AL-Joaker (UAE), Mohammad Lababi (Iran).

Group B: Pankaj Advani (India), Lim Chun Kiat (Singapore).

Group C: Mohammad Rais Senzahi (Afghanistan), Shahid Aftab (Pakistan).

Group D: Jin Long (China), Fung Kwok Wai (Hongkong).

Group E: Noppadal Sangnil (Thailand), I H Manudev (India).

Group F: Passakorn Suwannawat (Thailand), Kamal Chawla (India).

Group G: Tian Pengfei (China), Omar Alkojah (Syria).

Group H: Mohammad Shahed (UAE), Aditya Mehta (India).
