Angel Di Maria’s brief career at Manchester United came to an end as the winger will join Paris Saint-Germain on a four-year deal.

The Argentinean will become the second most expensive player in the French league history.

A source spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed the move.

Manchester United has agreed to sell the Argentina winger for a fee that is ‘in the region of 63 million euros ($69 million)’ the source informed.

Di Maria will team up with Uruguay striker Edinson Cavani, who joined PSG for a reported fee of 64 million euros when PSG broke the French transfer record in 2013.

Di Maria joined United from Real Madrid for a fee of 59.7 million pounds ($92.59 million) but, after an impressive start to his Reds career, struggled to display the form that made him one of the most feared attackers in Europe.

Di Maria scored or assisted in three of his first four United games but netted his final league goal in October and only started one match following their FA Cup quarter-final defeat against Arsenal in March.

The 27-year-old did not join the club's pre-season tour of the United States following the Copa America and has been widely linked with a move to the big-spending French side.
