The Roger Federer Express tram hit the streets of Basel, Switzerland on Friday, October 22.
Painted in a shade of blue, the Flexity tram with the vehicle number 5040, made its maiden voyage through downtown Basel.
The interiors of the tram show pictures of Roger Federer's Grand Slam victories and his last victory at the Swiss Indoors Basel. Also exciting facts about Federer are detailed on the inside of the tram.
On the inauguration of the tram service, Federer said: "The project was very important to me. That's why it's a great honour for me to have the Drämmli to be able to see on the streets of Basel in the future."
The Roger Federer Tram on the BVB network, was made in close cooperation with the 20-time Grand Slam champion and with the support of StadtKonzeptBasel and the External Relations and Location Marketing department in the Presidential Department Implemented in the Canton of Basel-Stadt.
