Jake Paul beat boxing legend Mike Tyson by unanimous decision to win an intergenerational heavyweight battle in Texas on Friday that failed to live up to its enormous hype.

"I didn't prove nothing to anybody. Only to myself. I'm not one of those guys that looks to please world. I'm just happy with what I can do'. These were the words of an out-of-breath and fatigued Mike Tyson who looked a shadow of his former self following the end of what was one of the most over-hyped bouts in recent memory which left fans fuming across the world.

Much like the fight, the Netflix live-streaming experience did not live up to expectations.

Viewers are just as frustrated with the buffering issues that were experienced as early as the main card's first fight of the night. The issues may have also raised eyebrows for consumers of pro wrestling who will experience Netflix streaming experience every week with WWE's new deal to air Monday Night Raw on the platform.

The 58-year-old struggled with his movement throughout and, in the final rounds, Paul appeared hesitant to inflict too much damage on the former undisputed world heavyweight champion. “I was trying to hurt him,” he insisted in the ring afterwards.

Distressingly, Tyson appeared to suggest after his defeat that he could be lured back into the sport in the future. He identified Jake’s brother, Logan, as a potential next opponent.

Meanwhile, social media exploded with fans crying foul over what they felt was a 'cash-grab' by Netflix and almost everyone was left fuming with what was a completely underwhelming experience.
