India squandered a 3-1 lead at the lemon break and went down 3-4 to Oman in their third Group C match in the AFC U-19 Championship qualifiers at Arbil, Iraq, on Tuesday.

Oman took an early lead in the fourth minute through Abdullah Basim but Lalrindika equalised for India in the 15th minute after receiving a clearance from Jeje.

Lalrindika scored his second goal in the 19th minute off a free-kick to make it 2-1 for India and then Akshay Kumar made it 3-1 in the 32nd minute.

India, however, allowed Oman to come back in the second half and let in three goals to gift their opponents victory.

For Oman, Khalil Ibrahim (70th), Abdullah Saif (75th) and Abdullah Saleh (89th) scored in the second session to earn full three points for their side.

India, who had lost to Iraq and Saudi Arabia earlier, are out of contention for the AFC Championships final round berth.

They have two matches left in the competition – against Kuwait and Afghanistan.
