Lalrindika Ralte’s goal gave East Bengal a 1-0 victory over Selangor FA in their AFC Cup Group H opener in Kolkata on Wednesday.
The victory was the Kolkata giant’s first in 21 matches in the Asian club competition.
The attacking midfielder’s all-important goal came in the 44th minute, at the Yuba Bharati Krirangan.
On Tuesday, Churchill Brothers were thrashed 0-3 by Hong Kong's champion side Kitchee Sports Club in an away match.
