Achievements
• 1990: Won Junior Wimbledon.
• Was ranked world's number 1 junior player at one time.
• Member of the Indian Davis Cup squad since 1990 and playing captain since 2004.
• 1996: Won the singles bronze at the Atlanta Olympic Games, the first Olympic medal for India since 1980 and first individual Olympic medal since 1952.
• In 1998: Became first Indian to finish among the Top 100 singles players since Ramesh Krishan in 1990.
• In 1999: Won three doubles titles, including Roland Garros and Wimbledon, with Bhupathi. The two became the first team since 1952 to reach the finals of all four Grand Slams in the same year. Leander reached number 1 individually in doubles on June 21 and the Paes-Bhupathi duo finished as the number 1 team. Paes also won the Wimbledon mixed doubles crown with Lisa Raymond.
• In 2000: Carried the tricolour at the Sydney Olympics opening ceremony.
• In 2001: Won French Open with Bhupathi. Received the Padma Shri.
• In 2003: Won Wimbledon and Australian Open mixed doubles crowns with Martina Navratilova.
• Last year: Leander won three ATP titles, two with Nenad Zimonjic and one with Paul Hanley. He made it to the doubles quarterfinals at Roland Garros and Wimbledon. Finished at Number 12 in the doubles rankings, his third straight Top 15 season.

Achievements
• Member of the Indian Davis Cup team since 1995.
• 1997: He won six ATP doubles titles in seven finals with Paes. The same year, Bhupathi won the French Open mixed doubles title with Rika Hiraki.
• 1999: He won three doubles titles, including the French Open and Wimbledon, with Paes. The duo became first team to reach finals of all four Grand Slams in same year since 1952. Bhupathi reached number 1 individually in doubles on April 26 and Paes-Bhupathi finished as the number 1 doubles team. The same year, Bhupathi won the US Open mixed doubles with Ai Sugiyama.
• 2001: Won four doubles titles in six finals with Paes, including their second French Open title. Awarded the Padma Shri.
• 2002: Most of the year, Bhupathi teamed up with Max Mirnyi, and won the US Open doubles crown. Captured third Grand Slam mixed doubles title at Wimbledon with Elena Likhovtseva.
• 2003: Reached the Wimbledon doubles finals with Mirnyi.
• 2004: Finished among the top 10 doubles players for the fourth consecutive year and sixth time in seven years. Teamed briefly with Paes to play six events, including two Davis Cup ties and the Olympics, where they reached the semi-finals.
• Last year: Won the US Open mixed doubles with Daniela Hantuchova and Wimbledon mixed doubles with Mary Pierce.
