United States Ambassador to India David C Mulford on Friday congratulated the two young Indians who won the 'Million Dollar Arm Hunt', a nation-wide competition to find the fastest baseball pitchers in India.
Rinku Bhramdeen Singh, who won the competition, and runner-up Dinesh Kumar Patel will leave for the United States on Saturday to begin a year of professional training under the sponsorship of J B Bernstein, a talent scout for Major League Baseball.
Son of a truck driver, Rinku is 19 years old and hails from Uttar Pradesh. He won a cash prize of US $1,00,000 for his efforts.
