India's Isha Lakhani has been given a wild card entry to participate in the $ 600,000 Bangalore Open, kicking off in the Karnataka capital on March 3.
Mumbai's Lakhani, 22, is currently placed 349 in the WTA Charts.
"It's an honour to be a part of India's first tier-II tennis extravaganza.
"This is an excellent opportunity for me to play with some of the top players of the world in front of my crowd. I look forward to playing some tough tennis," she said.
Earlier, Shikha Uberoi, another Indian player was also given a wild card for the event.
