Leander Paes and Martin Damm enter semi-finals

Leander Paes [Images] along with his partner Martin Damm of the Czech Republic entered the semi-finals of the Gerry Webber Open tennis tournament in Halle, Germany [Images] on Thursday.

They beat the Swedish-German pair of Robin Soderling and Philipp Kohlschreiber 6-7, 7-6, 10-7 to set up a clash against Swede Simon Aspelin and his Austrian partner Julian Knowle.

In London [Images], Mahesh Bhupathi [Images] and Radek Stepanek's campaign in the Artois Championship was cut short in the second round by third seeds Paul Hanley and Kevin Ullyet, who inflicted a straight set defeat on the Indo-Czech duo in the Euro 680,250 ATP event.

Bhupathi and Stepanek went down 1-6, 4-6 to Australian Hanley and his Zimbabwean partner Ullyet.
