Indian boxers win three bronze

Indian pugilists settled for three bronze medals after being trounced by their fancied opponents in their respective semifinals of the Xinjiang International Boxing Tournament.

Light-fly weight Sanjay Kolte lost to Wu Rongguo of China 11:21 while light weight Jai Bhagwan was thrashed 10:22 by Valentino Dominica of Italy [Images] in their last four stage bout on Friday.

Earlier, lightweight Dinesh had lost to Lei Yupung of China in the quarter finals played on Wednesday.

Lightwelter weight Manoj and lightheavy weight Dilbag had suffered defeats in the quarter finals of the tournament being contested by boxers from 16 countries in the build up to the World Senior Men's Boxing Championships to be held in Chicago in October.
