Champions League Last 16 first leg
Barcelona 2 Chelsea 1
Rangers 2 Villarreal 2
Werder Bremen 3 Juventus 2
Ajax Amsterdam 2 Inter Milan 2

Inter Milan staged a fierce second-half fightback to draw 2-2 at Ajax Amsterdam in their Champions League first knockout round tie on Wednesday.

The Serie A side looked down and out after 20 minutes with a youthful Ajax two goals up, courtesy of a powerful Klaas-Jan Huntelaar header and a close-range effort by Mauro Rosales.

Inter showed signs of life when they twice hit the bar in rapid succession just before halftime and pulled a goal back after 48 minutes with a deflected shot from Dejan Stankovic.

Luis Figo and Obafemi Martins went close before the visitors were rewarded for constant pressure when Julio Cruz swept in a low cross four minutes from time in the first leg match.
