Cameroon are confident they will beat Egypt [Images] in their last World Cup qualifier in Yaounde on Saturday to set an African record sixth World Cup finals appearance in Germany [Images] next year. Cameroon's Indomitable Lions lead Group Three of the African zone qualifiers on 20 points after beating Ivory Coast in Abidjan last month 3-2.
"Some of us may be a little bit tired but we are confident we will win Saturday's game," captain and Galatasaray defender Rigobert Song told Reuters at a news conference on Wednesday.
"After having done so well in Abidjan, we can't disappoint the people now. So, tell the Cameroonians to count on us for victory."
Osasuna striker Achille Webo said: "We all know it will be a tricky game which will not be as easy for us as some people may think."
"But we are professionals and we know what to do. We know we are only 90 minutes away from Germany 2006. That is why there is no room for error. Come what may, we will make it."
Ivory Coast must win in Sudan and hope Cameroon lose or draw to reach the finals for the first time.
