Advani, who came into the competition winning the 150-format title, defeated Ashok Shandilya 1700-1090 after being in arrears for the first half of the match.

In the other semi-final, three-time IBSF World billiards champion Sethi comfortably won 1493-925 over fellow-Indian Devendra Joshi.

Joshi ran Sethi, a finalist in the previous two editions of the tournament, close for the first three hours of the match but the latter pulled away in the last hour to snatch a berth in the final.
