India's men's hockey team may be down in the dumps but their women counterparts are faring better.
The Indian eves won a four-nation tournament in Singapore, outclassing South Korea in the final 3-0.
Sanggai Chanu starred for the team, scoring a brace through field goals, while Mamta Kharab netted one in the title clash on Sunday.
En route the final, India drew with Malaysia 3-3 after beating hosts Singapore 2-0 in their opener, an Indian Women's Hockey Federation statement said on Wednesday.
The team's next assignment is the Indira Gandhi [Images] Gold Cup invitational tournament, beginning September 29.
