Sandeep, Vishaka claim AITA junior titles

Sandeep Kumar and Vishaka Sheoran claimed the boys and girls' under-18 titles respectively in the AITA Talent Series junior tennis championship in Delhi on Saturday.

Sandeep defeated Nitish Raj 6-3, 6-1 in the boys' final, while Vishaka lost the first set but eventually prevailed 4-6, 6-0, 6-1 over Neha Rana in the girls' final at the DLTA courts.

In the under-14 events, Akshay Kohli was crowned the boys' champion after defeating Kaustub Inamdar 6-0, 4-6, 6-2, while Sweta Kumari emerged the girls' champion with an easy 6-3, 6-3 victory over Prerna Bhambri in the final.

The boys' under-12 title went to Subhash Rao, who won 6-2, 6-0 against Prateek Bhambri.
