French Open 2003
The men's semi-finalists

Juan Carlos Ferrero, the No. 3 seed, was tipped as one of the title favourites since Day 1. He faces countryman Albert Costa in the semi-finals, in what could be a revenge match for Ferrero.

Ferrero finished runner-up in 2002 as Costa ran away with the title.

All the ingredients for a wonderful battle are on the cards. Ferrero and Costa both took the same amount of time to win their quarter-finals matches -- 3 hours and 29 minutes.

"It was so emotional because the match was long and I wasn't playing so good. But I fought a lot to the end. I also wanted to win because it was my sister's (Ana) birthday," said Ferrero.

Costa's record at the French Open stands at 28-8 and all of his 12 ATP titles have come on clay.

"I can tell you that when I am two sets down, I still think I can win the match," said the defending champion, who looks hungrier.

"I'm not thinking 'Well, I won once here and that's okay. Let's go on vacation.' No, I want to win (the tournament) again."
