Serena Williams has won 33 straight matches in Grand Slams and, on current form, seems unbeatable.
"It's hard to play your best," Williams said after her quarter-final victory against Amelie Mauresmo, "when I'm playing really well."
Williams's season record is 35 wins-2 losses.
Mauresmo handed her one of those losses, the other came against Justine Henin-Hardenne, her next opponent.
"I know what Serena's strengths and weaknesses are. Serena will tell you she played very badly in Charleston and that's what she thinks. I played a very good match, nothing extraordinary either. I know it's going to be tough, I'll have to play my best, or at least very solid, in order to impose myself," said the tiny Belgian.
