Tiger losing his stripes?
Walter Hagen's record of winning a golfing major for five straight seasons appears safe, for at least five more years. When Tiger Woods ended the 85th PGA Championship, saddled with his worst finish in a major since he turned professional, his hopes of equalling Hagen were snuffed out.
Woods has always been a player with remarkable ability and the confidence he has in his ability borders on arrogance. For the first time in five years, the world No. 1 failed to win a major and the media started talking about a slump.
But is that really the case?
